Local Tourism

The County of Brant is an excellent stop for any sightseer or traveler. With the county boundaries completing a loop around the main city of Brantford, there is much to see and do. The county itself is a mix of colourful farms and forests, dotted with brilliantly preserved towns which boast a number of historically significant homes and churches. Visit any of our unique heritage festivals and specialty stores, and you will be pleasantly surprised with an array of one-of-a-kind arts, crafts, and antiques.

The Township of Paris... Paris is proud to maintain the historical integrity of the "Prettiest Town in Southern Ontario". Along the river, shopping and recreation awaits you. This beautiful town, with its rare cluster of 11 cobblestone homes and two churches, is known as the Cobblestone Capital of Canada. Located on the Grand River as it snakes it’s way towards the Great Lakes, Paris has a lively downtown with shops and boutiques containing works by local artisans and jewellers, quality Irish linens, books written by local authors, and much more. Choose from a variety of restaurants, and let us treat you to a meal with a picturesque view overlooking the Grand. Enjoy a round of golf at the recently redesigned Paris Golf Club & Inns or a leisurely canoe trip down the Grand. Experience the outdoors that Paris has to offer on one of our many steadfast trails which can take you on a pleasant walk through the forest, or a high-paced bike ride up and down the hills.

The Village of St. George... Are rare antiquities something that piques your interest? How about museum-worthy items from years gone past? Located just off Highway 24, St. George, with several antique shops and two annual antique shows, is an antique-lovers' paradise. The village has also become home to a world-renowned lily garden, which is exhibited with an annual Lily Festival in early July. Then treat yourself to a meal and beverage at an authentic English pub or tearoom.

The Township of Burford & Area... Burford features a laid back country-type setting, and almost gives you the feel that time is standing still. This quaint little farm town features beautiful countryside, and every September the Burford Garage Sale and Flea Market- which is one of Canada's largest.
